New MG ZS EV crowned 2022 DrivingElectric car of the Year

The facelifted MG ZS EV has taken home the car of the Year and best value electric car titles in our sister brand DrivingElectric’s 2022 Awards.
The electric family SUV’s amazing value for money made a real impression on the judges, with the recently introduced long range version using a claimed 273 miles on a charge and an excellent level of standard equipment for under £30,000. The ZS EV’s seven-year/80,000-mile warranty and updated infotainment system didn’t go unnoticed, either.

Meanwhile, the automobile express car of the Year 2021, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, was named the best Long-Distance electric car and won the DrivingElectric technology Award, thanks to its 800-volt electrical architecture, ultra-rapid charging capability, long range and intuitive infotainment, as well as its superb ride quality and interior comfort.
Hyundai is also celebrating another award win for the Tucson SUV, which was crowned best family hybrid car by DrivingElectric. best Plug-In hybrid family car went to the Skoda Octavia iV estate, while the Skoda Enyaq iV received the best family electric car gong in a ceremony that covered 25 categories.
DrivingElectric also awarded the pure-electric Fiat 500, BMW iX, Tesla model 3 and Porsche Taycan.
